HICKORY, N.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball has placed three individuals on the AVCA and D2CCA All-Southeast Region teams.
Kayli Cleaver and
Averie Dale were each named to the AVCA All-Region First Team and the D2CCA All-Region Second Team, while
Hadley Prince was named to the AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention team.
Cleaver is making her second appearance on both teams and ranks second in the SAC with 333 kills on a .267 hitting percentage. The senior from Stanly, N.C., set a new career high with 23 kills against Newberry on October 10th. Dale, who along with Cleaver was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American last season, leads the conference with a .416 hitting percentage and ranks second with 1.01 blocks per set. She is second on the team with 235 kills and needs just one more ace to reach 30 service aces for the second consecutive season.
Prince is making her first appearance on an All-Region team after being named to the All-SAC Third Team just two weeks ago. The senior ranks second in the conference with 505 digs and fourth at 5.05 digs per set. She has tallied double digit digs in every match this season and has posted 11 matches with 20+ digs. She leads the team and ranks fifth in the SAC with 37 service aces.
The Bears' successful season is set to continue tomorrow when they take on Lander in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Lenoir-Rhyne earned the No. 2 seed in the Southeast Region after a 22-7 regular season and an appearance in the SAC Championship game. For more information on this weekend's Southeast Regional, click
