MONROE, N.C. - The #25 Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Golf team took fourth out of 16 teams at the Ralph Hargett Memorial, with
Matthew McDougall and
Holt Allison each finishing in the top-10.
The Bears shot rounds of 288-281-285 to finish with an 854 (-10). They were one of just five teams in the field to finish under par. Taking home the tournament title was #12 Wingate, coming through with a 846 (-18).
Matthew McDougall continued his strong spring, tying for sixth with rounds of 73-68-70 to finish with a 211 (-5). This marks his second straight top-10 finish and his fourth of the season. Just one stroke behind him was
Holt Allison, who's rounds of 71-72-69 put him in a tie for eighth with a 212 (-4). This was his seventh tournament under par this year and also his seventh top-10 finish. Joining them under-par was
Sean Finan with a 214 (-2). Ranked #134 in the country, this gave him a tie for 13th.
INDIVIDUAL SCORES
Lenoir-Rhyne will take part in one more event before the SAC Championships, the Tennessee River Rumble in Lenoir-City, Tennessee. It will take place at the WindRiver Golf Club on Monday-Tuesday, March 24-25.
