Hickory, N.C.- The Lenoir-Rhyne women's tennis team remained undefeated in conference play on Saturday afternoon after defeating #25 Newberry 4-1.
The Bears won the doubles point thanks to victories from
Mehetia Boosie and
Runa Muderrisoglu and
Alexa Allison and
Nellie Wahlberg. Muderrisoglu and Walhberg grabbed quick victories at the #1 and #3 spots in the lineup before Boosie closed the match out with a hard fought 7-5, 6-4 win at #5 singles.
This is Lenoir-Rhyne's first top-25 win since defeated #23 Newberry on March 20, 2024.
