Charlotte, N.C. ? The Lenoir-Rhyne University Softball Team (4-0) remained undefeated on the season with a doubleheader sweep of Queens University (2-9), 3-0 and 10-1, Sunday afternoon at Park Road Park.

Sophomore starting pitcher Dawon Millwood (Hixson, Tenn.) improved to 2-0 on the season as she put together a two-hit, 13-strikeout performance in the game one victory over the Royals.
Sophomore catcher Sarah Atkins (Newport News, Va.) opened the scoring for the Bears with a run-scoring single in the third inning.
L-R added single runs in the fifth and sixth frames on an error and an RBI single from junior third baseman Brandi Haithcock (Snow Camp, N.C.) to make it a 3-0 final.
Haithcock finished three-for-three to lead the Bears offensively.
Queens? Brandy Jester (Georgetown, Del.) was tagged with the loss.

Senior designated hitter Ashley Duckworth (Conover, N.C.) hit a grand slam in the first inning to key the Bears sweep of the Royals as L-R run-ruled Queens in the nightcap.
Leading 4-1 to start the fourth inning, the Bears put the contest away with six runs in their final three frames.
Freshman outfielder Megan Laxton (Taylorsville, N.C.) tallied a run-scoring double in the fifth before driving in two more runs with another double in L-R?s three-run sixth inning.? Laxton finished with three hits and three RBI to lead L-R?s 14-hit attack in the second game.
Lenoir-Rhyne freshman Alex Smith (Cocoa, Fla.) (1-0) limited Queens to just one run while striking out six batters in her collegiate debut.
The Royals? Kelsey Newberg (New Britain, Conn.) suffered the loss.
