Greeneville, Tenn. - The No. 16 Lenoir-Rhyne Softball Team (33-5, 6-0) remained undefeated in South Atlantic Conference play with a doubleheader sweep of Tusculum (7-13, 1-5), 4-0 and 11-2, Saturday at Red Edmonds Field.? Sophomore pitcher Dawon Millwood (Hixson, Tenn.) improved to 14-2 on the year after picking up her eighth shutout of the season.? Millwood limited the Pioneers to just two hits while striking out 12 batters en route to the win.
L-R sophomore first baseman Brittany Davidson (Fort Defiance, Va.) opened the scoring with a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning before Rivers drove in a run with a triple in the fifth for a 2-0 advantage.
Sophomore second baseman Carlee Carpenter (Newton, N.C.) and Rivers rounded out the scoring with back-to-back solo home runs for the Bears in the seventh inning.
Rivers finished the game with two hits and two runs batted in to lead Lenoir-Rhyne.
Holli Cadenhead (Van Vleck, Texas) fell to 5-5 after being tagged with the loss.

Rivers and Carpenter each hit a home run again for the Bears as L-R finished off the doubleheader sweep by run-ruling Tusculum.
Rivers opened things up with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning and the Bears broke a two-all tie with five runs in the second inning thanks to a bases-clearing double by senior outfielder Brittany Cherry (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) and Carpenter's two-run home run.
Senior designated player Ashley Duckworth (Conover, N.C.) added a two-run round-tripper in the fourth inning, her 14th of the season, as the Bears pushed their winning streak to seven games.
Carpenter and Cherry each finished with three runs batted in while sophomore Lauren Harris (Yadkinville, N.C.) remained unbeaten on the season at 6-0 after pitching four scoreless innings.
Tusculum's Erin Searcy (Coolidge, Ga.) fell to 2-6 with the loss.
