Ines Flueck has been named to the 2018 IWLCA NCAA Division II All-South Region Second Team. IWLCA is the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Flueck, a senior goalkeeper from Coppell, Texas, was named the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year after leading the Bears (9-10, 8-0) to their first-ever league regular season championship.
On the year, Flueck was 9-8 with a 11.20 goal-against average and 148 saves. Flueck is the Bears' all-time leader in stops with 606. Flueck, a four-year starter, is a two-time first-team all-league selection (2016 and 2018) and earned NCAA Division II All-American honors as a sophomore.
The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division II with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2018. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will celebrate the 2018 All-Americans during Divisional All-American Announcement Shows, which will be launched online in mid-June.
