Box Score HARTSVILLE, S.C. – In a rainy afternoon, the Bears were only able to complete one game in a scheduled doubleheader at Coker in their South Atlantic Conference opener on Wednesday afternoon. The Bears and Cobras waited out an hour rain delay in game one and played three-and-a-half innings in game two before the game was stopped due to no lights.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

STATS OF GAME ONE:
• A 2-run homer from Coker gave the hosts an early lead before the Bears rallied in the top of the second.
Savannah Moorefield would single to score a run and two more players came around to score on an error as LR took their only lead of the day at 3-2.
• Unfortunately, Coker would erupt for five runs in the bottom of the second and nine more in the bottom of the third. The Bears were sloppy in the field, committing four errors as the Cobras ran away with the victory.

Macie Gibson was a bright spot for the Bears as the freshman went 2-for-2 with a run scored. LR would finish with just four hits in the five inning contest.
• Seven different players drove in a run for the Cobras.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• The Bears would rally in game two and faced a 2-0 deficit before plating two runs in the top of the fourth. However, that would be the end of the game as darkness made the game unplayable.
