Box Score 2 ANDERSON, S.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Softball Team hit the road to continue South Atlantic Conference play, splitting a doubleheader with the Anderson Trojans on Saturday afternoon, taking a 4-2 victory and being run-ruled in game two, 9-1.

STATS OF GAME ONE:
• Brandi Parks had a no-hitter through five innings as she dominated the Anderson lineup. Parks allowed just two runs (one earned) in her seven innings of work and permitted just a pair of hits. Parks struck out nine as she improved to 12-5 in the circle on the year.
• The Bears jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single from shortstop Talon LaClair. LR's second run in the frame would come thanks to an Anderson error that scored Cassie Healy.
• In the sixth, cleanup hitter Kylee Leonhardt crushed a solo homerun to center field for her second bomb of the season. Kory Hammett would add a pinch hit RBI single to score Leanna Sherrill who doubled as the Bears surged ahead 4-0.
• Anderson would get its only two runs and two hits in the sixth but Parks would rebound to set down the side in order in the seventh to earn the victory.
• LaClair accounted for two of the Bears seven hits in the opener.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
• The Bears were limited to three hits, one each from Savannah Moorefield, Mackensi Swain and Sherrill. The Bears' only run came on a throwing error by the right fielder.
• Emily Kenley made her return to the mound, but took the loss for Lenoir-Rhyne as she worked 1.2 innings, giving up five runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks. Hannah Jennings and Brandi Parks worked the final 3.0 innings in the game.
• First Baseman Joshlyn Martin led the Trojans with a 4-for-4 day at the plate with four RBIs and a run scored. Kayson Boatner finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
• Kenley's return from injury is her first appearance since February 26 at Belmont Abbey. She now owns a season record of 3-3.
• This is the fifth split doubleheader of the season for Lenoir-Rhyne, who now has a road record of 6-2.
