HICKORY, N.C. – The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Track and Field Team will have representation for two events in the 2019 NCAA National Championships – the 4x100 meter relay and the men's 200-meter race. The Championships are set for May 23 – 25 in Kingsville, Texas.
The Men's 4x100-meter relay team is comprised of
Kaynmon Maddox,
Ja'Tay Culliver,
P.J. Lotharp and
Lucas Besong. This team heads into the competition tied for sixth nationally.
Lotharp also ran his way to a spot in the 200-meter race and ranks fourteenth in the country heading into the championships.
Several other student-athletes were considered based on NCAA provisional marks and a program record number of 11 made a list of candidates, which are as follows:
