Wingate, N.C.----Lenoir-Rhyne University senior outfielder Drue Galassi has been named the Southeast Region Player of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), officials announced Tuesday afternoon. Galassi is the third player -- but first hitter -- to earn Regional Player of the Week accolades this season. 

Galassi led the Bears to a 4-1 record, including a four-game sweep of SAC foe UVA Wise. He hit .450 for the week with a .542 on-base percentage and 1.200 slugging percentage. He belted four home runs, drove in eight runs, scored 12 runs, and had three doubles, while also stealing two bases.
