New Orleans, LA.-- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their All-Region teams on Wednesday. Lenoir-Rhyne's
Paige Ewald,
Janet Kwambai, and
Kathrin Polke each garner All-Region honors for the 2022 season.
Ewald, a junior from Woodstock GA., earned her first all-region honors as Ewald wa selected to third-team all-conference with her 20th place finished than few weeks later placed 21st in NCAA regionals
Polke, a senior from Mistelbach, Austria, also earned her first all-region honors as the senior had a 11th place finished in this year SAC Championship was helped her gather a second team all-conference selection. Polke than finished her season with a 24th place finish in the NCAA regionals.
Kwambai, a senior from Iten, Kenya, was picked up her second all-region honors as Kwambai finished second at both the SAC Championship and the NCAA regionals this season. Kwambai will be heading to Tacoma Washington for the NCAA Championship this Friday December 2nd. Kwambai will be looking for back-to-back All-American honors after a 27th place finish a year ago.
