Caroline Hilliard and
Marlin Davis earned this week's honors.
Hilliard, a senior from Catawba, N.C., took first place in the 10,000 meter run at the Vertklasse Meeting at High Point with a new personal best of 36:30.23 currently ranking her 19th nationally in Division II. This is Hilliard's first Track Athlete of the Week honor this season.
Davis, a junior sprinter from Indian Land, S.C., finished 2nd in both the 100 and 200 meter dash in the elite division of the Vertklasse Meeting at High Point against all Division I competition. In the 100 meter dash, Davis ran a time of 10.46 seconds and in the 200 meter dash, he clocked a time of 20.79 seconds; just missing his own school record by .01 seconds.
This is both athlete's first Athlete of the Week honors this season.
