Final Results

Newton, N.C.-- Hosting the SAC Championship for the first time in six years, The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Cross Country team finished third place at Southside Park in Newton Saturday morning. Sabrina Fleig and Paige Ewald were named to the All-Conference Team after today's championship race. 

Fleig was named to the first team All-SAC and the All-Freshman team as the freshman finished in 5th place in her first championship with a 20:51.60 time. Paige Ewald finished in 19th with a time of 21.34.77 to earned third team honors.

Liz Kessler and Carolin Fuehren finished back-to-back less than two seconds apart in 27th and 28th place while Eliska Rihova finished in 36th place with an 22:26.41 time to help the Bears finish in third place. 

Wingate won the team title as the Bears finished behind Catawba and the Bulldogs. The Bears finished with a team score of 101. 

LR will now turn their attention to the NCAA Southeast Regional on November 4th in Gainesville, GA.
