Parkinson Advances to NCAA Championship as Bears Finish 9th at SE Regional

Oakwood, N.C.-- Jacob Parkinson advances to the NCAA Championship on November 18th in Joplin, MO after he finished in 13th place at NCAA Southeast Regional in Oakwood, Ga.on Saturday morning. The Bears finished 9th as a team in today's event. 

As well as earning a bid in the NCAA Championship, Parkinson also earned all-region honors joining him was teammate Lewis Budgen. Budgen finished in 18th place with a time of 30:26.1. 

After the duo of Parkinson and Budgen, the next Bear to finish was Harrison Hickman in 97th place. Isaac Riggs (103th), Garrison Fisher (111th), Leon Fisher (114th) and Bastian Luthmann (162nd) rounded out the Bears team in the 10k race at the North Georgia Cross Country Course in Oakwood, Ga.
