AUSTIN, Texas - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams continued their outdoor season with an appearance at the Texas Relays, hosted by the University of Texas. 

Clarence McGill, a sophomore out of Corpus Christi, Texas, returned to his home state to produce the best performance of the weekend for the Bears, a third-place finish in the men's 400-meter hurdles. 

The time of 52.33 was not only the best time amongst Division II participants but was also a new personal best for McGill. He now has recorded three personal bests through the past two events. 

Sticking with the men's side, the LR 4x400-meter relay team notched another Top 10 finish with a time of 3:11.26. The four-man group of Olawole Olanrewaju, Jacob Wadsworth, Marcus Crumpler, and Bamidele Ajayi finished 10th in the event. 

Building off her impressive weekend at the Montreat College Open, Alexis Brown finished sixth in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 23.11. In the women's 100-meter dash, Brown sealed a 14th-place finish with a posting of 11.31. 

In addition to her individual races, Brown also was the final leg of the women's 4x100-meter relay. Joined alongside Zanetta Udo-Obong, Victoria Aransiola and Holly Kone, the group finished 22nd with a time of 46.02. 

Individually, Aransiola and Udo-Obong also participated in the women's 100-meter timed finals. Aransiola secured a 26th-place finish while Udo-Obong finished 70th with respective times of 11.76 and 12.20. 

Melody Jones, the junior from Chicago, recorded a 37th-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles. She recorded a time of 14.27, which was six-tenths of a second faster than her performance in the Montreat College Open last weekend. 

UP NEXT: The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams will have next weekend off before hosting the Southside Power and Fitness Invitational. The two-day event will begin on Saturday, April 13 at the Irwin Track at Moretz Sports Athletic Campus.
