Greenwood, SC – The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Golf team opened the 2024-25 season at the AU/Erskine Fall Kickoff in Greenwood, S.C. this past weekend. The Bears finished in eighth with a total team score of 961 (+97), after shooting a 319 (+31) on the final day. Wingate took home first place with a final tally of 862 (-2), taking down fellow SAC member Anderson by just five strokes.
 
Sophomore Jaya Wilkinson had the most consistent performance this week, shooting under 80 in all three rounds. She led the Bears with a 79 in the final round to secure 18^th place.  Sophomore Charlotte Colley moved up 17 spots after hitting 73 on the final day, finishing in 26th. Not far behind Colley was Eve Neild, who's rounds of 76-80-81 put her in 28th with a 237 (+21)
 
Up next for the Bears is the Savannah Lakes Invitational in Greenwood S.C., starting Monday, September 23. Last season, Bears finished sixth place out of 13 teams.
