HICKORY, NC - After winning six of their first seven games, the Lenoir-Rhyne Baseball team has entered the top-25, coming in at #25 in this week's NCBWA Poll. 

The Bears opened their season with a three-game sweep of Trevecca Nazarene, then followed that up by going 3-1 last week, including two wins over then #16 Young Harris.

Mackenzie Wainwright was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Baseball Player of the Week after recording four multi-hit games. Wainwright produced ten hits, including a triple, three doubles and a home run. Owen Blackledge generated eight hits while driving in four runs in his last four games. 

Andrew Harlow continued his dominance on the mound for the Bears with his second straight 6.0 IP start while striking out seven batters and not giving up an earned run in his win against Columbus State. William Girardi picked up his first win of the season in the opener over Young Harris, notching eight strikeouts in five innings while only giving up one earned run. 

Lenoir-Rhyne kicks off a four-game home series with Bloomsburg University on Friday afternoon with a doubleheader starting at 1:00 pm. ET.
