HICKORY, N.C. - Matt Procopio and Mackenzie Wainwright have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Southeast Region team.

Procopio, who was named an NCBWA Third Team All-America honoree just last week, finished the season with a .436 batting average, which ranks 12th in the country and is the fifth best mark in program history. He tied for the team lead with 78 hits and was the solo leader with 60 RBI. On March 21st against Coker, Procopio tied the school record with three home runs in a game. The senior scored 48 runs, hit 15 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, had 16 walks, and was struck out just 12 times throughout the year. The primary shortstop throughout the season, he led the team with 115 assists in the field.

Wainwright, last year's Region Player of the Year, batted .406 this year with 78 hits, 59 RBIs, 39 walks, 18 doubles, and 14 home runs. His .750 slugging percentage is fifth all-time in LR history. In just two years as a Bear he ranks first in batting average, first in slugging percentage, second in home runs, second in on base percentage, fourth in triples, sixth in runs scored, and sixth in total bases.
