HICKORY, NC - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Lacrosse team's quest for a second national championship is still alive, as they earned the #4 seed in the South Region of this year's NCAA Tournament. The Bears will play host to familiar foe and #5 seeded Wingate on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Moretz Stadium.
This marks the sixth NCAA Tournament appearance for the Bears, and their fourth in as many years. Lenoir-Rhyne has been a dominant force in the world of NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse these past five seasons, compiling an overall record of 79-14 and winning the 2023 national championship.
The Bears currently sport a record of 14-3 (8-2 SAC) and took down Wingate 9-6 earlier this season at the Crown Classic in Charlotte. The Bulldogs upset their way to the SAC Tournament Championship yesterday, taking down Anderson 17-11.
