Men's Lacrosse hosts Wingate in NCAA Opening Round

HICKORY, NC - For the second time in their storied history, Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate will be meeting in the NCAA Tournament. The Bears garnered the #4 seed and will host #5 seeded Wingate today at 4:00 p.m. in Moretz Stadium. 

The Bears and Bulldogs have met once before in the NCAA Tournament, an 18-10 Lenoir-Rhyne win in the national semi-final on May 23rd, 2021.

Lenoir-Rhyne sits at a record of 14-3 (8-2) SAC and bowed out to Anderson in the SAC semi-finals. Wingate (14-4, 6-4 SAC) have been hot lately, as they took down Newberry, Limestone, and Anderson to win their first SAC Tournament Championship since 2019. These teams have met once this year, a neutral site 9-6 win by Lenoir-Rhyne in the Crown Classic. 

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (60+) and kids under 12, and $4 for college students. All Lenoir-Rhyne students will get in for free. 

Parking is available in the stadium lot, and all seating is on the east side bleachers.
