HICKORY, N.C. - Donovan Powell capped off his career on Wednesday by being named to the CSC Academic All-America Third Team.

He joins Myles Moffat (3x), Mitchell Linklater (2x), and Toron Eccleston as the only Lenoir-Rhyne men's lacrosse players to be named to an Academic All-America team.

Powell is a Sports Management major and graduated with a 3.87 cumulative GPA. He was the 2025 SAC Men's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete of the Year, a 2026 USILA All-America First Team honoree, and a 2x member of the All-SAC team. The Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, native is scattered all over the Lenoir-Rhyne record book. He ranks fifth all time in goals, seventh in points, and his 88 points in 2026 ranks second behind Joe Buduo for points in a single season. A member of the 2023 national championship team, Powell played in 68 games during his four year career, starting 41.
