KINGSPORT, TN - Head coach
Vic Riggs and the Lenoir-Rhyne swim teams prepare to take part in the SAC Championships this week at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
The Bears will compete against Carson-Newman, Catawba, Mars Hill, and Wingate in both genders starting on Wednesday, February 4, and concluding on Saturday, February 7. Every day there will be a prelim session beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a finals session starting at 5:00 p.m.
The Lenoir-Rhyne women's swim team is led by seniors
Ella Penny and
Devin Poteat, who have combined for nine first-place finishes, eight second-place finishes, and two third-place finishes this season.
Olivia DeRosier had an impressive junior season collecting 12 top-five finishes, including placing first in the 500-Yard freestyle and 200-yard IM against Converse on October 9.
On the men's side, senior
Levi McRea led the charge for the Bears, dominating the 1,000-yard and 500-yard freestyle with six victories throughout the season between the two events.
Christopher Glebus and
Christopher Forsey combined for 24 top-five finishes, while
Judah Hall broke the school's 50-yard butterfly record against Converse on senior day.
