KINGSPORT, TN - The Bears have battled through the first two days of the 2026 SAC Swim Championships.
On opening day
Levi McRea finished sixth in the Men's 1,000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:31.37 while
Christopher Forsey won the C final of the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 1:54.86. The women's 200 yard medley relay team, consisting of
Ella Penny,
Emma Sheets,
Addison Bartemeyer, and
Devin Poteat, placed fifth with a time of 1:50.90.
The Bears had two relays teams place in the top five on day two in the 400 yard medley relay. The women's team, consisting of
Ella Penny,
Emma Sheets,
Addison Bartemeyer, and
Stella Pelger, came through in third with a time of 4:04.24 while the men's team featuring,
Christopher Glebus,
Christopher Forsey,
Judah Hall, and
Renato Herran, finished fourth with a time of 3:22.71. Lenoir-Rhyne's highest individual finish on day two came from freshman
Judah Hall, who won the B final with a time of 49.74.
Ella Penny continued to impress in Kingsport, finishing second in the B final and 10th overall with a time of 1:54.12 in the 200 yard freestyle.
Both the men (212) and women (237) sit fourth with two days remaining in the SAC Swim Championships.
