McDougall ties for seventh at NCAA South/Southeast Regional

VALDOSTA, GA - Matthew McDougall tied for seventh at the NCAA DII South/Southeast Regional on Saturday, closing out the tournament with a 2-under 70. This gave him a 54-hole total of 210 (-6). After being 4-over after two rounds, Sean Finan had to pull out due to injury.

McDougall was the third best finisher who didn't advance with a team, coming one spot shy of qualifying for the national championships. He finished fourth in the field with 15 birdies over the course of three rounds. His seventh place finish ties him with Finan (2024) for the best regional finish in program history.

The teams advancing to the national championships were Nova Southeastern, West Florida, Lee, Georgia Southwestern, Florida Southern, Columbus State, and Wingate. Advancing individuals were USC Beaufort's Octavio Laurent (205, -11), and Emmanuel's Gabriel Hull (208, -8).
