HICKORY, N.C. - Slade Aliff has been named a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, as announced by the GCAA on Monday. 

Aliff, who was named the SAC Men's Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, was the high finisher for the Bears at the most recent SAC Championship. Throughout the year he held a 72.9 average and two top-ten finishes. 

He graduated in the Spring with a degree in management and a cumulative a 3.85 GPA. He has been honored with the D2ADA Academic Achievement award and been named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll. He was a 4x Dean's list, a 1x President's list honoree, and a Chi Alpha Sigma and Delta Mu Delta member. 

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2
