Wingate, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne University Men's Lacrosse Team, in its first year of competition, placed two players on the 2011 All-Deep South Conference Teams while Bear mentor Greg Paradine was named the league co-coach of the year.

Freshman midfielder Tyler Kotch (Butler, Pa.) earned first-team all-league honors while freshman defender Stephen O'Hara (Bellport, N.Y.) picked up honorable mention all-conference accolades.

Kotch leads the team in goals (24) and points (32) to go along with eight assists and O'Hara?has a pair of assists while anchoring the back line for the Bears.

Paradine led Lenoir-Rhyne (4-9, 2-4) to four wins on the year including two?victories?in its last three conference matches.?

The Bears' first-ever victory was a 14-11 triumph on March 2, 2011, over the Bobcats of Lees-McRae at home.?

Paradine shares the honor with Florida Southern's Marty Ward.

Lenoir-Rhyne finishes off the regular season on Saturday, April 23, when it travels to Charlotte, N.C., to face Queens at 2:00 p.m.
