Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Wins In Dominating Fashion, 25-1 Over Urbana

Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Hayley Beaty scored four goals and added a pair of assists in a 25-1 home win against Urbana (Ohio) Saturday afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

Hickory, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Women's Lacrosse Team (6-2) put on a show with a convincing 25-1 win over Urbana (Ohio) (0-4) Saturday afternoon at Moretz Stadium.

L-R junior Sarah Minick (Marietta, Ga.) scored a match-high nine goals as the Bears increased their winning streak to five contests.

Lenoir-Rhyne sophomore Hayley Beaty (Dallas, N.C.) added four goals and two assists as the Bears improved to 6-0 at home this year.

Lenoir-Rhyne held a 10-1 lead at halftime and outscored Urbana by a 15-0 count in the second half.? In addition, the Bears scored the last 20 goals of the contest.

Freshman Lauren Donovan (Hollywood, Md.) also got into the act for the Bears as she finished with three goals and a team-high five assists.? Donovan and Minick are now tied for the team lead in points with 34.

Lenoir-Rhyne also?held a 50-7 advantage in shots taken and a 35-19 edge in ground balls while freshman Allison Senft (Marietta, Ga.) picked up the win in goal as she made four saves while only allowing one score.

Urbana's Hannah Walters (Canal Winchester, Ohio) scored the Blue Knights' lone goal of the match while goalkeeper?Emily Brumley (Buckhannon, W.Va.) suffered the loss despite stopping 11 shots on the day.

Lenoir-Rhyne travels to Spartanburg, S.C., to face Converse on Tuesday beginning at 7:00 p.m.? Urbana, meanwhile, hosts Colorado Mesa on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
