Men's Tennis Signs Nicolas Moser

Hickory, N.C.-- Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Tennis announced the commitment of Nicolas Moser Tuesday morning.

Moser, a native of Austria, will join the recruiting class of 2020. He has had a decorated tennis career, winner in singles at Europe Grade 3 U16 in Kopavogur Iceland in 2018 and finalist at ITF G5 in 2019. Moser was previously ranked 52 in the tennis Europe Juniors U16 rankings in 2018. Moser was an U16 state champion in 2018 and advanced to the Quarterfinals of the Austrian National Championship under 16 the same year. Moser also has an highly touted doubles career, winning in the tennis Europe Grade 3 U16 in Kopavogur Iceland in 2017 and multiple semifinalists in ITF G4 Corfu 2019 and G5 Isa Town 2019.

Head Coach Jesse Tarr mentioned what kind of addition Moser is to the team.

"When you can add a player who reached the final of an ITF tournament, it is a win for the program," Coach Tarr said. "What makes this win special is the caliber of person Nicolas is. He is a person of outstanding character, who is committed to striving for excellence in everything he does. I couldn't be happier to welcome Nicolas to our tennis family. I know he will represent our program, our athletics department, our university and our community the right way."
