Sumter, S.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne men's tennis team advanced to the SAC semi-finals for just the second time in program history on Thursday with a 4-2 win over #4 seeded and #28 ranked Tusculum.
The Bears grabbed the all-important doubles point wins from
Vitor Ferreira /
Vadym Rogynskyi and
Paul Daniel Meyer /
Lucas Galy at the #1 and #3 spots. Lenoir-Rhyne continued picked up a quick win from
Vadym Rogynskyi at #3 singles and
Paul Daniel Meyer finished just after him, winning 6-4, 6-4 at #2 singles.
Samuil Sivinov and
Zeno Godi were each up a set and playing a tiebreaker when Sivinov won his 7-3 to clinch the match.
This is just the second time in program history (2019) the Bears have advanced to the conference semi-finals.
