STATS OF GAME:
- Mount Olive got on the board in the first before a 5-run second inning extended their lead to 6-0. Mount Olive's Dusty Baker, the hero in game 1 of the series, hit a lead-off homerun in the inning.
- LR had chances for big innings, in the 4th and 6th innings. Will Jones and Mike McHugh both got on to lead off the innings but in both cases only Jones came around to score on wild pitches.
- Ben Friebel, Michael Allen and Brett Fulk all came out of the bullpen to combine for 2 and 2/3 scoreless innings.
- Mount Olive had their second five-run in the 6th, scoring five runs on just two hits to give them the 13-3 lead.
- Brock Johnson added a two-run single in the Top of the 8th for the Bears.
- Jones went 2-3 with two runs scored. Jones has multi-hit games in three games already for the Bears.
- Freshman Caleb Fluno picked up his first career hit and rbi in the 9th with a two-out two-run single.
