TEAM RESULTS
GAFFNEY, S.C. - On the final day of the Camden Collegiate, the Lenoir-Rhyne men's golf team shot a 288, led by a 69 from
Liam Waldron, to close out the tournament with a team score of 881. The Bears moved up one spot on the day and finished 13th out of 16 teams competing at the par-70, 6,455-yard course.
Day one was halted due to a lightning delay and round two was restarted at 8:30 a.m. this morning. Waldron had birdies on four holes on the front nine in his third round and added a birdie on the 13th hole to finish -1 on the round. Teammate
Jack Alward had a team-high six birdies in the third round to finish with an even 70.
For the tournament, Waldron would finish tied for 38th overall and his 69 in the third round was the seventh-best out of the 85-player field in the final round.
Tyler Hashmi finished second for LR and tied for 54th overall with a final score of 223, four shots behind Waldron.
Dawson Walker shot an identical 223 and
Holt Allison rounded out the top four with a 225. Alward was disqualified in the second round but carded a two-round score of 143.
Five other SAC teams are participating in the tournament including Lincoln Memorial who won the team event with a final score of 840. Levi Moody of Limestone took the medalist spot, surviving a three-person, three-hole playoff at the end.
