Mars Hill, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Swimming team opened their 2021-22 season with a win at #26 Mars Hill on Friday evening. Micah McRea won three events and John Ryan won two events after the duo joined Jacob Greene and Spencer Ashby to win the 200 yard medley relay to kick off the night. 

McRea took home the 200 Free with a time of 1:42.81 then he won the 100 Breast and 100 IM later in the evening to cap off his night. McRea's time in the IM (52.39) broke his own school record. 

Greene won the 50 yard back with a time of 24.31 and then the 100 back with a 53.06 time  Greene won the 100 back by over two seconds over teammate Nathan McCormick. 

John Ryan took home the win in the 100 fly with a 54:03 time to help the Bears win seven of the fourteen events tonight and take home the win 129.50 to 109.50 over the host Lions. 

The Bears will return to the pool  with a trip to Greensboro on November 6th for the Guilford Invitational.
