STATS OF GAME:
- Bears had chances in the first, Xander Ferlenda singled with one out then E.J. Ranel doubled to set up second and third with one out. However, Dosie Drakeford got Nick Clarno and Connor Smith to strike out to end the inning.Â
- The Pioneers got four runs in the first off Bears starter Andrew Patrick. Zane Keener lead it off with a homerun then after a walk and hit batter Brandon Trammell singled in two runs then the Pioneers added the last run on a double play to help the Bears get out of a bases-loaded no out threat with just four runs.Â
- LR got on the board with a two-out single by Clarno to score Drue Galassi in the 3rd.Â
- After the Pioneers got three more in the fifth, the Bears got one back with a pitch hit double by Matt Mackey to score Andy Lopez to cut the lead to 7-2.
- LR used nine pitchers in this one and got two scoreless innings from Tanner Moyers and scoreless outings from Michael Allen, Brett Fulk, Ben Friebel, Ian Foggo and Jackson Reid.

- LR came into the game leading the SAC in ERA with a 3.00 ERA, a whole run ahead of second place Newberry. The Bears also enter today with the top three in the league in ERA with Joshua Lanham, Andrew Patrick and Alex Shirazi. Â
- Lanham and Patrick entered today only giving up four earned runs all season.Tonight, the duo gave up five runs in just two innings of work. Â
- Lopez got his first start of the year, reached base three times and scored a run for the Bears on the night.Â
- LR fell to 0-4 when their opponents score in the first inning this year.Â
- LR went 2-13 tonight with runners in scoring positions and left sixteen runners on base.Â
