Hickory, N.C.-- The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Swimming Team, coming off their season opener win at the Guilford Invitational, stayed hot with their victory over Mars Hill on Friday night inside Shuford Pool.
Micah McRea won three events while five different Bears won events as the Bears defeated Mars Hill 156-85 to win their home opener.Â
McRea, coming off four victories to open their season, won three more on Friday night. McRea won 100 and 200 Breast then took home the 200 IM with a time of 1:55;58.
Levi McRea won his first event as a Bear with a victory in the 200 Back.
Renato Herran took home the 200 Free with a time of 1:45.97.
Nathan McCormick with a time of 55:26 won the 100 Back and
Owen Schreiber took home the 100 Free with a time 2:00.57.Â
The Bears won 9 of 14 events on the evening including both relays. In the 200 Medlay Mccormick, Herran,
Micah McRea and
Christopher Glebus won than Glebus, McCormick joined
Levi McRea and
Christopher Forsey to send the fans home happy with a victory to end the night.Â
The Bears will head to Catawba for a Tri-Meet with the Indians and Wingate on Friday night.Â
