HICKORY, N.C. - The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Swimming Team dropped its third-straight conference dual meet to start the season; this time falling to No. 8 Wingate, 222-34.
Christopher Forsey was the best individual swimmer for the Bears as the sophomore recorded two third place finishes in the 50-yard and 500-yard freestyle events. The Concord, N.C. native registered times of 25.48 and 4:58.34, respectively.
Forsey also competed in both relay events, the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley. In the freestyle, joined alongside Renato Herran, Christopher Glebus and Davis Hull, the Bears finished third with a time of 1:29.36.
In the medley race, the efforts of Matthew Stein, Forsey, Herran, and Glebus registered a time of 1:40.17 to finish third in the event.
Following his efforts in the 200-yard freestyle relay, Herran recorded an individual third-place finish in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 23.63.
Meanwhile, for Levi McRea, the sophomore notched a time of 1:47.99 in the 200-yard freestyle to secure a third-place result.
The Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Swimming Team will return to the pool for the annual Fall Frenzy. The three-day event will begin on Friday, Nov. 17 in Charlotte, N.C.
