ROCK HILL, S.C.  – Lenoir-Rhyne's Tyler McPeak was named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Baseball Player of the Week for games played during week seven of the 2023 season, the Conference office announced today.

McPeak, a graduate student first baseman from Denver, N.C., collected multiple hits in four of five games last week, while batting .600 with three home runs, a double, a triple, and five runs scored. He drove in 11 runs, with a slugging percentage of 1.400 and an on-base percentage of .632, while collecting 21 total bases on the week.

McPeak and the Bears return to action on Friday when they host Mars Hill at 5 p.m.
