HICKORY, N.C. - Head Men's & Women's Swim Coach Vic Riggs has announced Danny Berlitz will join the staff this year as a graduate assistant.
"I am so excited and so grateful for the opportunity to be officially a part of the coaching staff," said Berlitz. "I am proud to come into a position where I can help and mentor the future generation of swimmers. I cannot wait to see our athletes mature and develop, not only in the pool but also as individuals, both on campus, competing, and throughout life. Go Bears!"
Berlitz comes to Lenoir-Rhyne following an impressive career in the water at both West Virginia and Michigan. a 2024 U.S. Olympic Trails participant, Berlitz holds the West Virginia 200 Yard Freestyle record (1:34.93) and appears 11 times in the West Virginia Swimming record books. He was a part of the school's record breaking 400 Yard and 800 Yard Freestyle Relay teams in 2024 and 2025.
