Spring Sports: Know Before You Go

HICKORY, N.C. - Despite the winter weather, Lenoir-Rhyne Spring sports are about to be in full swing. Baseball hosts Columbus State for a three-game series this weekend while Men's Lacrosse takes on No. 2 Tampa in a showdown of national powers on Saturday.

Softball opens up the home portion of their schedule on Wednesday, February 11, vs. Belmont Abbey. The final Spring sport to open the home portion of the their schedule will be Women's Lacrosse, who take on Rollins in Moretz Stadium on Sunday, February 22. The Lenoir-Rhyne Tennis programs play all their matches at the Hickory Foundation YMCA just up the road. All tennis matches are free to attend.

Everyone is encouraged to purchase their tickets prior to the events, but tickets are available for purchase at the gates. No pets are allowed in the gates (outside of registered service animals) and a clear bag policy is in place.

Reserved seating at baseball and softball is $200 per sport for the season. Those who are looking to purchase reserved seating can contact Shayna.Skonieczki@lr.edu. All chairback seats at both baseball and softball that do not have a reserved sticker on them are first come, first serve to general admission fans.

The baseball parking lot is reserved for individuals who have purchased a reserved seat. Those who do not have a reserved seat are encouraged to park in the main lot by football on 5th Street. Lacrosse parking can be done on that 5th street lot with the only entrance being the main gate at the northeast side of the stadium. Softball parking is free in Lot H and Sixth St. NE.
