Men's Lacrosse Team to be Honored at White House on Monday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have invited the Lenoir-Rhyne men's lacrosse team to visit the White House on Monday, June 12.

National Championship teams and programs from all three divisions will take part in College Athlete Day at the White House South Lawn.  The event will be broadcast online at whitehouse.gov/live and on the White House Facebook page beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The Bears won their first National Championship in program history in a 20-5 win over Mercyhurst to become the first five-seed to win it all in NCAA Division II Men's Lacrosse history. They finished the season with a program-record 18 wins and traveled over 1,900 miles to win four NCAA Tournament games.
