Frank Snyder capped off his four-year football career in 1950 by being named as an honorable mention Little All-American team choice. Â In addition to being the Bears' Most Valuable Player as a senior, he also was an all-state lineman. Â The three-time All-Conference honoree also was nominated as being one of the best lineman in the country. Â After serving in the Marines upon graduation, Snyder returned to his home state of Pennsylvania to coach football at Williamston High School. Â He went on to become a coaching legend in Pennsylvania over the next three decades. Â While winning over 200 games, he was named as a League or Division Coach of the Year on 18 different occasions. Â Twice Snyder, the area's winningest coach of all-time, was chosen as Central Pennsylvania's Coach of the Year. Â He was named to the Central Pennsylvania Chapter Hall of Fame. Â Snyder retired from coaching in 1985 and was a guidance counselor at Susquenita High School until 1990. Â Snyder was a member of the Susquenita High School District Board of Education.
