Toni Steed-Smith (Lenoir-Rhyne, 1990) was a four-year letterwinner on the Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Basketball Team (1987-90).  At the time of induction, Steed-Smith  was ranked first in rebounds (1,106), second in rebounding average (11.3), third in points (1,665) and fourth in scoring average (17.0) on the Bears’ all-time lists.  During her collegiate career, Steed-Smith tallied 58 double-doubles and had 27 games of over 20 points and 10 rebounds.  For her accomplishments, Steed-Smith was a three-time all-conference and all-district selection.  Steed-Smith also led Lenoir-Rhyne to the NAIA District 26 Finals in 1986-87 and was a two-time Team Captain and Team Most Valuable Player (1988-89 and 1989-90).  As an employee of Colonial Life Insurance Company, she was named the North Carolina/Tennessee Territory Coordinator of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2006.  Steed-Smith and her husband, Anthony, have two children:  Quinae and Kameron.
