Traci Hyman Davis (Lenoir-Rhyne, 2000) is one of Lenoir-Rhyne’s best ever all-around female student-athletes.  Davis lettered four years in both women’s basketball (1996-99) and softball (1997-00).  On the court, Davis earned all-conference honors as a junior and ranks eighth on L-R’s all-time list for assists (309) and steals (185).  On the diamond, Davis was a four-year all-league selection and was the 2000 South Atlantic Conference Player and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.  In 2000, Davis earned NCAA Division II All-South Region accolades and led L-R to its first-ever league regular season and tournament championships.  Davis is still L-R’s all-time career leader in stolen bases (131) and batting average (.418).  An outstanding student as well, Davis was a four-time Academic All-District honoree and a two-time GTE Academic All-American (1999-00).  In 2006, Davis was inducted into the SAC Hall of Fame.  Currently, Davis is a registered nurse at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.  Davis and her husband, Will, have two children:  Britt and Charlie.
