Brittany Cherry (Lenoir-Rhyne, 2010) led Lenoir-Rhyne Softball to NCAA Tournament appearances in all four of her seasons with the Bears. Cherry is Lenoir-Rhyne’s all-time leader in at bats (758) and is tied for the program record for most doubles (62). Cherry ranks second in team history in hits (268) and fourth in runs scored (171). Cherry was an All-Conference performer in three of her four seasons and was twice named First Team All-SAC. Cherry was also a two-time All-Region selection and helped LR to three SAC Regular Season Championships and two SAC Conference Tournaments. Cherry was part of the winningest team in program history as the 2010 squad went 53-9. She led the Bears to their first-ever NCAA Super Regional appearance and owns the NCAA Division II single-game record for most runs scored in an NCAA Tournament game with five.Â
