Scott Crawford is one of L-R’s greatest running backs in school history. Crawford played three years for the Bears (1973-75) and rushed for over 1,000 yards each season. Currently, Crawford ranks third in rushing yards (3,438) and tenth in total offense (3,742) on Lenoir-Rhyne’s career lists. Crawford earned all-conference honors all three seasons and was named to the NAIA All-American Second Team twice (1974 and 1975). In 1975, Crawford rushed for a career-high 1,240 yards and led the Bears to the South Atlantic Conference’s first-ever championship. Crawford was drafted by the Canadian Football League’s Calgary Stampeders. Crawford is the owner of Scott Crawford Masonry. Crawford and his wife, Donna, have four children: Benjamin, James, Michael and Kenyata.
