Harold Egelsky was a three-sport standout at Lenoir-Rhyne in football, track and baseball before graduating in 1954. On the gridiron, Egelski lettered four years (1950-53) and was a two-time All-North State Conference honoree (1952 and 1953) and an All-State pick (1953) at tackle for the Bears. Â Egelsky led L-R to two conference titles in 1951 and 1952 with marks of 10-1 and 8-1, respectively. Â Egelsky, who earned his master's degree in Russian from Indiana University in 1966, was a teacher and coach in the Kiski Area (Pennsylvania) High School district for 32 years. Â Egelsky's baseball teams won numerous baseball sections championships and one Western Pennsylvania Championship while his football squad celebrated one undefeated season. Â Egelsky was also a part of the Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan (Asia), one of the former republics of the U.S.S.R., in 1993, and taught the Russian language at the high school level.
