Lenoir-Rhyne University Athletics

Frank Pait is the winningest coach in Lenoir-Rhyne baseball history, holding that title by over 100 wins. He won 291 games as the Bear skipper, leading them to three SAC Championships and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2001.

During the 2001 season Pait became just the second Lenoir-Rhyne baseball coach to win the SAC Coach of the Year Award after leading the Bears to a SAC regular season and tournament championship. During his 11 years at the helm, Pait coached 33 All-SAC honorees, six All-South Region performers, two SAC Freshman of the Year, and one SAC Player of the Year. His 2006 team still holds the school record with 25 triples in a single season.

Following his time with the Bears he founded the Catawba Valley Community College baseball program, leading them from 2009-14 and racking up 188 victories. In 2024, Pait was inducted into the Catawba County Sports Hall of Fame.
