Kelly Rudisill was a football four-year letterwinner for the Bears (1965-68) and earned All-Carolinas Conference and all-district honors twice (1967-68) as a defensive back. Rudisill's 21 interceptions rank him second all-time in school history and the four Bear squads he played on won a league title every year with a combined record of 28-9. Â Rudisill was selected to the 1968 All-Lutheran College Second Team and played in the Sudan-Temple Classic All-Star Game, where he was named the game's defensive MVP. Rudisill, a four-year letterwinner in baseball as well (1966-69), garnered all-state honors in 1967 in addition to all-league and all-district honors. Â Rudisill taught and coached at several high schools (Crest and Fred T. Foard) and was an assistant football coach for the Bears in 1975 and 1976.
