Wade W. Teague lettered four years on the Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team from 1957 to 1960 and was a captain on the Bears' 1960 NAIA National Championship Team. Â A two-time all-conference honoree (1959-60) as an offensive lineman, Teague was part of two squads which advanced to the national championship game (1959 and 1960) and four conference title teams. Â L-R also compiled a 38-4-2 record during those four seasons while Teague earned the Bears' prestigious Sportsmanship Award in 1960. Â Teague received his master's degree in business from Appalachian State in 1965 and was the Owner and Manager of Teague's Fine Jewelry and Loan, Inc., for 15 years (1990-2014). Â Wade and his wife, Dianna, have three children (Ryan, Blake and Nancy) and five grandchildren.
