Hall of Fame
Dean Cline, a 1958 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne, was a four-year letterwinner (1954-57) and two-time All-North State Conference honoree (1956-57) for the Bears. An extremely versatile player, Cline led the team in receiving in 1955 and 1957 and in passing in 1956 as he played blocking back and linebacker. Â In his last three years, Cline helped lead Lenoir-Rhyne to a 27-2-2 mark to go along with three straight North State Titles, a 21-game non-losing streak and a perfect 10-0 mark in 1956. Â Cline, who is currently the owner of D.C. Sales in Ridgeway, Va., also won the 1957 North State Conference Kirkland Blocking Trophy.Â
