Sperotto ('58) lettered four years in football (1954-57) and two in baseball (1955-56). On the gridiron, Speretto earned All-North State Conference honors twice and was an honorable mention All-American and All-North Carolina State football team pick as a senior in 1957. Â Sperotto's final three teams from 1955 through '57 combined to go 27-2-2 while capturing three conference titles. Â After graduation, Sperotto worked for the special services of the U.S. Army and earned his master's degree from West Virginia in 1961. Â Sperotto taught in the Westmoreland-Alleghany Counties (Pa.) school systems for 31 years and has been independently selling fine jewelry for the past 25 years. Â Sperotto lives in Greensburg, Pa., with his wife, Dorothy. Â The couple has two children: Mark and Donna.
